Key findings:

  • Australian radio audiences have grown by 7% in the last five years and that 19% of people are listening to more radio now than they were a year ago.
  • Nearly half (48%) of all listeners choosing to stay on the same station for long periods of time, demonstrating its value as a multi-tasking medium that is often consumed in conjunction with other activities.
  • Six in ten people listen to their favourite radio station because of the personality-driven content
  • More than 80% of listeners agreed that the attribute they most preferred in a presenter was a sense of humour.
